  • Born in Spartanburg, SC and raised in Fort Mill, SC

High School

  • Graduated from Fort Mill High School in 2001
  • 4 year letterman in baseball, 2 year letterman in basketball
  • 2 year All-State in baseball, 2-time Region player of the Year
  • The Charlotte Observer and The Rock Hill Herald Player of the Year

College

  • Signed a National letter of intent to attend and play at the University of South Carolina

Professional

  • Drafted in the 24th round of the 2001 First Year Player Draft by the Chicago White Sox
  • Played on 4 different rosters reaching the High A affiliate with Chicago from 2001-2006 while winning 2 league championships
  • Signed by the Florida Marlins in 2006 and reached their High A affiliate
  • Signed with the Edmonton Cracker Cats of the Northern League in July of 2006
  • Traded to the Windy City Thunderbolts of the Frontier League in August of 2006
  • Signed with the San Diego Padres in September of 2006 reaching their High A affiliate
  • Signed with the Gateway Grizzlies of the Frontier League in May of 2007
  • Signed with the Detroit Tigers in October of 2008
  • Signed with the Bridgeport Bluefish of the Atlantic League in April of 2009
  • Traded to the Gateway Grizzlies in June of 2009
  • 3-time Frontier League mid season All-Star
  • 2-time Post-Season Frontier League All-Star
  • Currently 2nd on the all-time homerun list for the Gateway Grizzlies
  • Currently 3rd on the all-time homerun list for the Frontier League
  • 2009 Gateway Grizzlies MVP
  • Set career high for batting average (.313) as well as homeruns (24) and RBI (64) and slugging % (.583) in 2008
  • With 24 homeruns in 2008, was the co-leader of the league with fellow teammate Mike Breyman
